but someone needs to say it....
some people know a few things about money, how to make it and how to keep it. They live easy lives but not necessarily happy ones. money tends to make things easier. some people chose professions that they love but arent very lucrative. you full well recognize "this is what i want to do, but i wont make a lot of money". if you are an educated person, that it a conscience decision that you make.
i hate hate hate that JON is bitter because my parents have money and arent saints but his parents dont (have money) but are (saints), to him at least. sorry, but being a good person doesnt mean god is going to miraculously reward you money, you might have divine approval, and that should be good enough for you, but your not going to get monetary compensation just because you feel that you deserve it more than other people.
im glad that you got a letter from colgate, and now they can pay, but why are you so fucking bitter. we live in opulence, because thats what we chose, and it works. its not like we "deserved anything" but guess what, it doesnt matter. the system doesnt work that way. In the mean time, you can preach about the evils and the corrupting power of money (and beg god to send you some, a ludicrous notion) while i sit by the pool and sip my latte.
sorry but the nice guy does really come out last. this is because he doesnt go in trying for first. he doesnt even care about the race. he cares about being a good person and that should be enough for him, and if it isnt, than maybe he really isnt the nice guy. |
